Rosalind Nashashibi Very much using found imagery, the artist took photos directly from books. A background colour was printed first using an open mesh – a rectangle to define the edge of the image. The figures were then printed on top. Rosalind Nashashibi was born in 1973 in Croydon, south London. She studied at Sheffield Hallam University and Glasgow School of Art. Her work, mainly film, is shown internationally and she has recently had solo exhibitions in New York, Basel, Christchurch, London, Glasgow and Dublin. She won Beck’s Futures in 2003 and has represented Scotland in the Venice Biennale exhibition. |
